12/1/00 - The Executive Director has decided to start taking suggestions from the general public, for a new office mascot. The APAS will pick a winner from all suggestions sent into this web site. Click here To suggest an animal. The winner will win the Inaugural Fling the Monkey $1000 scholarship. 11/15/00 - APAS has decided against running an ad during the Super Bowl. The APAS will have no where near enough financial backing to produce an advertisement. Please stay tuned for a new advertisement coming to your television set in the soon-to-be-near future. 10/15/00 - The APAS would like to invite everyone to attend our booth at the 15th Annual Animal Trade Show. The Animal Trade Show will be at the Charlotte Holiday Inn from November 3rd-6th. Come by the APAS booth for a free sunglass cozey, and a genuine ball point pen with our logo. 9/27/00 - The APAS is very sorry to report the death of our office mascot, Fling the Monkey. Fling will live on in all of our hearts here at the APAS offices. Fling was around since the beginning, and saw us through many long days. We would all like to send out our thoughts and prayers to Fling's family. Whatever small piece of jungle they currently reside in. 9/26/00 - Due to a freak accident involving a deli meat slicer, and vast quantities of a flammable liquid...the APAS offices will be closed for at least two weeks. At press time, no injuries have occurred from this unfortunate incident. 9/10/00 - The APAS is pleased to announce that it has joined up with an unnamed corporate partner out of North Carolina. The APAS staff is very happy and will make sure this transition period goes as smoothly as possible. 8/17/00 - The APAS and it's partners are pleased to announce a 30 second advertisement that will be featured in the 2001 Super Bowl. 8/10/00 - The Association to
Promote Animal Smoking (APAS) officially comes into existence. The
